Life & Career
Gaskell was a physical training instructor.
Gaskell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1903.
Gaskell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1911.
Gaskell was appointed to the armoured cruiser H.M.S. Good Hope in the Test Mobilisation of July 1914 and remained in her, dying when she sank with all hands at the Battle of Coronel on 1 November.
