Alldin Usborne Moore
Captain Alldin Usborne Moore, C.M.G., R.N. (2 December, 1878 – 15 August, 1942) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.
Life & Career
Moore was promoted to Lieutenant on 2 June, 1898.
Moore was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 55 on 16 July, 1901.[1]
Moore was promoted to Commander on 31 December, 1909.
Moore was promoted to Captain on 30 June, 1915.
He assumed command of the first class protected cruiser Edgar in May 1917, remaining with her for a year.
Moore was appointed to Europa (which was then in the Aegean) for command of perhaps a destroyer flotilla from 19 March 1918 until he took sick on 3 October, 1918, but the details of the posting are not legible.
Post-War
Moore was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 10 May, 1922.
