Rear-Admiral Edmund Purefoy Ellis Jervoise, C.B.E., R.N. (24 April, 1861 – 4 January, 1950) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Herriard Park, Basingstoke.
Jervoise was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1884.
Jervoise was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1897.
Jervoise was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1904.
He retired at his own request on 27 April, 1906.
Jervoise was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 15 July, 1915.
Jervoise was reverted to the Retired List upon being superseded as Captain of the Royal Naval College, Greenwich on 1 July, 1919.
