Algernon McLennan Lyons

Admiral of the Fleet SIR Algernon McLennan Lyons, G.C.B., D.L., J.P., Royal Navy (30 August, 1833 – 8 February, 1908) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
Lyons was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 15 December, 1888, vice Hay.[1]
On the occasion of the Queen's birthday, Lyons was appointed an Ordinary Member of the Second Class, or Knight Commander, in the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 23 May, 1889.[2]
On 23 August, 1897, Lyons was promoted to the rank of Admiral of the Fleet, vice Hay.[3] In accordance with the Order in Council of 22 February, 1870, he was placed on the Retired List on 30 August, 1903.[4]
