Mortimer L'Estrange Silver

Vice-Admiral Mortimer L'Estrange Silver, C.B.E., Royal Navy, Retired (7 August, 1869 – 6 December, 1946) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

On 6 October, 1902, Silver was appointed to Vernon for command of the Jaseur.[1]

Great War

Post-War and Retirement

He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 3 October, 1919, vice Brock,[2] and was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 4 October.[3]
