Thomas Allnutt Brassey, Second Earl Brassey, J.P. (7 March 1863 – 12 November 1919), was a British peer most relevant to our interests as the editor of Brassey's Naval Annual.

Life

Brassey was educated at Eton and at Balliol College, Oxford.

In 1892 to 1895, Brassey served as Assistant Private Secretary to Earl Spencer when he was First Lord of the Admiralty.

Brassey was editor of The Naval Annual from 1892 to 1899 and then either alone or in concert with J. Leyland from 1902 to 1914, and finally again in his last year of life, 1919.
