Richard Hyde, M.V.O. ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hyde was promoted to the rank of Commodore, Second Class on 30 June, 1912.[Fact Check]
In August 1912, he assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Talbot.
He was appointed command of the destroyer Blanche on 5 July, 1913.[1]
He was made captain of the armoured cruiser Essex in May 1916, staying until September.
