Jump to navigationJump to searchCommander (retired) William Ibbett (26 June, 1887 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Ibbett was promoted to the rank of Acting Lieutenant on 15 December, 1917. He was confirmed in the rank at an adjusted date of 15 August, 1917.
On 20 November, 1920, Ibbett was appointed in command of the two "K" class vessels comprising reserve submarine group "B" at Rosyth: K 14 and K 16.[1]
Ibbett was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 31 March, 1923 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1925.
Ibbett was promoted to the rank of Commander on 26 June, 1927.
