Commander (retired) Hugh Roy MacGregor Laird, C.B.E., R.N. (3 February, 1899 – 2 July, 1953) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Captain J. K. Laird.

Laird was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1920.[1]

Laird was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 January, 1928.[2]

Laird was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 29 March, 1935.[3]

World War II

Laird was promoted to the rank of Commander on 3 February, 1939.[4]

He died in Bahati, Nakurum which is in Kenya.[5]
