Geoffrey Robert Bensly Back

Commander Geoffrey Robert Bensly Back, (22 February, 1894 – 29 May, 1941) served in the Royal Navy. His name is recorded as "Bensly" in later Navy Lists, but as the more common "Beasly" in early Navy Lists and in some service records. I am guessing that his name was actually Bensly.

Life & Career

The son of Reverend Arthur James Back, Clerk in Holy Orders.

Back was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 November, 1915.

Back was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 November, 1923.

Back was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1929.

Back was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1936.
