H.M.S. Condor was one of six Condor Class sloops completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Condor sailed from Esquimalt, Canada on 2 December, 1901 to sail to Honolulu. She was last seen parting company with Warspite, and her loss was presumed to be related to a severe storm the following day. One of her boats and related wreckage washed ashore on Vancouver Island and along Queen Charlotte Sound as a search by H.M.S. Phaeton and American Revenue Cutters proved fruitless.[6]
Captains
- Commander Clifton Sclater, 1 November, 1900[7] – c. 3 December, 1901[8] (killed when she foundered in a storm)
