Robert Henry Simpson Stokes

Vice-Admiral Robert Henry Simpson Stokes, Royal Navy (5 August, 1855 – 24 April, 1914) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Stokes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1879.[1]
He was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1893.[2]
Stokes was promoted to the rank of Captain on 1 January, 1899.[3] He was appointed in command of the second-class protected cruiser Eclipse on 30 May, 1901.[4]
On 5 March, 1907 he was appointed Commodore, Second Class and Commodore-in-Charge at Hong Kong.[5]

He was appointed Admiral Superintendent of Devonport Dockyard on 4 October, 1910.[6]
Stokes was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 3 June, 1913, vice Goodrich.[7]
