H.M.S. Olympus was one of six Odin Class submarines completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Olympus was prepared for her commissioning by Lieutenant (E) J. P. W. Furse, appointed to her 14 November, 1928. He may also have commissioned her[3] when she did so at the Clyde on 25 September, 1929 for service with the Third Submarine Flotilla on the China Station.[4] She remained in this assignment until at least early 1933.[5] By mid-1937, she was with the Fourth Submarine Flotilla on the China Station.[6]
