Twenty-seven candidates for naval cadetships were accepted for the January, 1880 intake term at H.M.S. Britannia.[1]

Fives candidates were unsuccessful, but would be entitled to a second try.

  1. Arthur Osborne D'Arcy would be accepted in July 1880
  2. Charles J. I. Ker
  3. Henry Arthur Beverley Shrubb would be accepted in July 1880
  4. Adrian George Allgood would be accepted in July 1880
  5. Charles E. Elers (may be Charles Blois Miller, who was accepted in July 1880)
