Lieutenant-Commander (retired) Archibald Murray (4 January, 1876 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Murray was promoted to the acting rank of Gunner on 6 August, 1904. He was confirmed in this rank on 11 August, 1905.

Murray was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 049 on 17 November, 1913.[1]

Murray was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 March, 1918.

Post-War

Murray was placed on the Retired List on 11 November, 1922.

Murray was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 March, 1926.

World War II

Murray reverted to the Retired List on 27 June 1946.
