Jump to navigationJump to searchCommander Loftus William Jones, V.C., (13 November, 1879 – 31 May, 1916) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Jones was appointed in command of the destroyer Ghurka on 15 December, 1910.[1]
On 7 March, 1914, Jones was appointed in command of the destroyer Linnet.[2]
Jones was appointed in command of the destroyer Shark on 9 October, 1914.[3]
Jones was killed aboard Shark in night action with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla at the Battle of Jutland.
