Jump to navigationJump to searchFrancis Alexander Waddilove Buller, D.S.O., (14 May, 1879 – 14 July, 1943) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
As a Lieutenant, Buller was appointed in command of the new submarine Phoenix on 11 May, 1912, joining the First Destroyer Flotilla.[1]
Buller was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1917.
He was appointed in command of the destroyer Blanche in April, 1918.[2]
On 8 January, 1919, Buller was appointed in command of the light cruiser Caroline, though he would be replaced in just a month's time.[3]
Buller was placed on the retired list on 14 July, 1922. He was advanced to Rear-Admiral while retired.
