H.M. T.B. 68 was one of ten second-class torpedo boats of the T.B. 64 class.
Construction
Lyon and Winfield give T.B. 68's launch date as "16.2.1882(?)", which contradicts Conway's date of 1880.[5][6] It also contradicts a statement in the Annual Report of the Torpedo School that she was commissioned in 1881.[7]
Service
Upon her completion in 1881, she was one of three of her class sent to Devonport.[8]
According to Lyon and Winfield, T.B. 68 was "[t]ransferred to Newfoundland." It is unclear whether this means she was simply stationed there or turned over to the Colony of Newfoundland's government. In either case, her subsequent fate after the transfer is unlisted.[9]
