Life & Career
Allen was appointed as Lieutenant & Commander of the destroyer Leopard on 2 October, 1905.[1]
Allen was appointed in command of the destroyer Rother on 22 February, 1913.[2]
On 6 April, 1914, Allen was appointed in command of the destroyer Achates.[3]
Allen commanded the flotilla leader Broke, working with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla at the Battle of Jutland.[4]
