Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. Ernest Henry Day, ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Day was promoted to the rank of Temporary Sub-Lieutenant R.N.R. on 29 May, 1917 and sent to Pekin for instruction in minesweeping.[1]

Day was promoted to the rank of Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. on 14 July, 1917.[2]

Daye was appointed in command of the paddle minesweeper Queen Empress from 31 October 1918 to 28 Marach, 1919.[3]

He then commanded the minesweeper Prestatyn until he was demobilised on 18 October, 1919.[4]
