Thomas Roderick Fforde

Captain (retired) Thomas Roderick Fforde, (18 May, 1882 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
As a Midshipman, Fforde went ashore in a landing expedition during the Boxer Rebellion.
Fforde was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1903.
Fforde was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1911.
When war broke out, Fforde was serving as torpedo officer in the dreadnought H.M.S. Marlborough. He was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1915 and left Marlborough on 28 February, 1917, soon to take up with with the D.T.M..
Retired at own request on 6 July 1922, Fforde was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 18 May, 1927.
