Jump to navigationJump to searchCaptain (retired) Francis Hutchinson Laprimaudaye Lewin, (29 October, 1880 – 7 August, 1953) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Lewin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1901.
Lewin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1908.
Lewin was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1915.[1]
On 1 June 1917 he was awarded the Royal Humane Society Silver Medal for saving life at sea.
Lewin was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 13 July 1922, and promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 29 October, 1925.
