John Hassard-Short

Supplementary Commander (retired) John Hassard-Short (23 February, 1889 – 8 September, 1948) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Hassard-Short was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 June, 1914.[1]

Hassard-Short was appointed Lieutenant in Command of the destroyer Scourge on 2 September, 1918.[2]

Hassard-Short was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 June, 1922.[3]

Hassard-Short was placed on the Retired List on account of age with a step of rank to Commander on 23 February, 1934.[4]
