The Torpedo Director Pattern 2389 was a British torpedo director similar to the Pattern 2390, but fitted with a tangent bar so it could be worked from the bridge.[1] It was likely a 60 degree arc, just as the 2390.[Inference]

The 2389a was sturdier and had a solid sight bar, and was often a 2389 that had been repaired to the new standard.[2]

It was initially available by 1910, at least.[3]
