Alphonse Martin Tulloch
Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. Alphonse Martin Tulloch (1 May, 1881 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Tulloch earned a First Class certificate in gunnery in late 1912 and followed it up with a Second Class torpedo certificate on 7 February, 1913.
Tulloch was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 12 February, 1914.[1]
On 15 December, 1917, Tulloch was appointed in command of the River Class destroyer Ettrick.
On 14 March 1918, Tulloch was mentioned in despatches.
Tulloch was removed from command of the Template:UK-Etterick following an unsatisfactory attack on a submarine while Senior Officer on a convoy's escort. From April to October, 1918 he served as navigating officer in Venerable before being placed in command of the sweeping sloop Petunia on 30 September, 1918.[2]
Tulloch was demobilised on 22 May, 1919.
Tulloch was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 12 February, 1922.[3]
