Frederick Owen Pike

Vice-Admiral Frederick Owen Pike, C.M.G., D.S.O., Royal Navy, Retired (23 February, 1851 – 5 April, 1921) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Pike was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 2 July, 1875.[1]

Pike was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1889.[2]

Pije married Annie E. M. Pohlman on 27 December, 1893 at Melbourne.[3]

Pike was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December 1895.[4]

In September 1898, he assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Minerva.

He became Captain of the second class protected cruiser Gladiator in October 1900.

Pike retired due to age on 23 February, 1906. He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 18 September, 1906 and to Vice-Admiral on 10 February, 1911.[5]
