Life & Career
Allen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1904.[1]
Allen was appointed in command of the destroyer Tancred on 12 March, 1919.[2]
Allen was appointed in command of the destroyer Wolsey on 11 January, 1921.[3]
He was appointed in command of the light cruiser Curlew in June, 1927.[4]
He was appointed in command of the battleship Iron Duke in October, 1933.[5]
