Commander R.N.R. Richard George Clayton, D.S.C., R.D. (25 October, 1884 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Clayton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 April, 1916.[1]

Clayton was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 31 on 4 May, 1917.[2]

He was to be demobilised on 14 March, 1919, but this was deferred until T.B. 31 arrived at Chatham.[3]

Clayton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 1 April, 1924.[4]

Clayton was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 30 June, 1928.[5]
