Richard Reed, (12 August, 1858 – 29 April, 1920) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Reed was promoted to the rank of Boatswain on 24 April, 1891.[1]

Reed was promoted to the rank of Chief Boatswain on 14 August, 1911.[2]

Reed was pensioned on account of age on 12 August, 1913, but with the outbreak of war, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 14 August, 1914. He worked at Cromarty and in the Mining School at Vernon.[3]
