Commander (retired) Samuel Robson Crabtree, R.N. (14 March, 1866 – 30 September, 1916) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Crabtree was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1898.

Crabtree was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1910. Retired due to age on 14 March, 1911.

Crabtree was appointed in command of the yacht Zaida on 1 June, 1916. She was lost on 17 August, 1916 and he was taken prisoner by the Turks.

Crabtree died as a prisoner of war.
