H.M.S. Moorhen (1901)
Pendant Number: N.6A (Nov 1919)[1]
Builder: Yarrow & Company[2]
Launched: 18 Aug, 1901[3]
Sold: Aug, 1933[4]

H.M.S. Moorhen was one of two Teal Class river gunboats completed for the Royal Navy. She would serve for thirty-two years in the river waterways of China.

Service

She re-commissioned on 17 October, 1918 and seemingly remained in continuous service until at least early 1933.[5]

She was replaced in service by the new gunboat Sandpiper which was sent to China in sections for reassembly, and commissioned in August, 1933.[6]
