Commander (emergency) Stephen Clive Lyttelton, O.B.E., D.S.C., R.N. (17 June, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Lyttelton received instruction in submarines from 11 January to 1 May, 1909 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1909.[1]

Transferred to the Emergency List on 29 February, 1912, in 1913 he was granted permission to accept an appointment in Calcutta.[2]

Called back during the war, Lyttelton served in Iphigenia and then, from 2 March 1915, in Princess Margaret as first officer.

Lyttelton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1917.[3]

Lyttelton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 17 February, 1919.[4]
