Commander (retired) Quintin Denis Fildes (30 May, 1889 – ) served in the Royal Navy. He altered his name to Denis Quintin Fildes on 13 March, 1911.

Life & Career

Fildes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1911.[1]

From April 1917 to 3 January, 1919, he was appointed to the armoured cruiser Minotaur.

Fildes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1919.[2]

Fildes was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 14 March, 1922. He was promoted to the rank of Commander on the Retired List on 30 May, 1929.[3]

World War II

Some service, including on the staff of Flag Officer in Charge, Harwich, vice Ryan from 5 April, 1940.[4]
