Lieutenant-Commander Clive Phillipps-Wolley (9 September, 1884 – 22 September, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Phillipps-Wolley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1906.
In November 1908, Phillipps-Wolley committed a breach of discipline by not providing ball dress.
Phillipps-Wolley was appointed in command of the destroyer Thorn on 19 April, 1911.[1][2]
On 13 January, 1914, Phillipps-Wolley was appointed in command of the destroyer Albatross.[3]
Phillipps-Wolley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 February, 1914.
Phillipps-Wolley was appointed to the armoured cruiser H.M.S. Hogue on 27 June, 1914 and died when she was torpedoed by U 9 on 22 September, 1914.
