Lieutenant-Commander (retired) William Henry John Parkin, R.N. (31 December, 1878 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Parkin was promoted to the acting rank of Gunner on 29 May, 1903. He was confirmed in this rank on 29 June, 1904.

Parkin was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 078 on 28 January, 1913.[1]

Appointed to St. Vincent on 14 April, 1914. Parkin was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 29 May, 1918.

Post-War

He was superseded in St. Vincent on 20 February, 1919.

Parking was appointed in command of the trawler Robert Houghton on 29 November, 1921. He left on 1 May, 1922 when he was appointed to President, additional, for service with the D.N.O..

Parkin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 12 August, 1922.

Parkin was placed on the Retired List on account of age on 31 December, 1928.

Parkin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 12 August, 1930.
