Commander George Russel Nixon, (2 July, 1880 – 6 November, 1915) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Nixon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1901.

Nixon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1909.

Nixon was appointed to battleship H.M.S. Albemarle as first and torpedo officer on 22 August, 1913.

Nixon was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1915.

Nixon was swept overboard from Albemarle in heavy seas on 6 November, 1915 and drowned.
