Commander (retired) Robert Mairis Haynes, (26 September, 1873 – 4 May, 1915) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Haynes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1896.[1]
In February, 1904, Captain Warrender of H.M.S. Hawke wrote, "I have not much confidence in him." Haynes was diagnosed with syphilis and mental instability at about that same time.[2]
In poor health, Haynes was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 15 May, 1912.[3]
Haynes was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 26 September, 1913.[4]
