H.M.S. Viceroy was one of twenty-five "V" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1917-18.
Service
Viceroy commissioned on 8 January, 1918.[7]
She was re-commissioned at Devonport on 15 September, 1924.[8]
Paid off into Dockyard Control on 19 May, 1927,[9] the ship soon commissioned at Devonport on 31 August, 1927 for service with the Second Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[10]
Commissioned at Devonport on 19 November, 1929 for service with the Second Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[11]
She was re-commissioned at Devonport on 7 June, 1932 for service with tje Second Destroyer Flotilla with the Home Fleet.[12]
Re-commissioned in Reserve Fleet at Portsmouth on 4 November, 21936.[13]
