Rear-Admiral (retired) John Salwey Hallifax, (9 March, 1846 – 11 DEcember, 1904) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 June, 1869.
Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Commander on 14 October, 1881.
Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1887.
Retired at his own request on 31 August, 1899, Hallifax was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 16 June, 1901.
His executor informed the Admiralty that Hallifax died suddenly on Sunday, 11 December, 1904.
