Company founded by Arthur Hungerford Pollen on 31 December, 1907, [1] for the development and manufacture of fire-control equipment. Its formation was announced on 5 January, 1909 to the Board of Admiralty.

Officed at Bishophill House, York, England.

It was noted for building the Argo Clocks and other components of the Argo Aim Corrector system as well as gyro-stablised rangefinder mountings.
