Vice-Admiral Stuart Nicholson, C.B., M.V.O., D.L. (11 October, 186510 September, 1936) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Educated at the Royal Naval School.

Took part in expedition to Benin in 1897. As of June, 1906 commanded cruiser HMS Dido. Promoted to Rear-Admiral on 30 July, 1912. Commanded 6th Battle Squadron from outbreak of First World War until April 1916. Then became Flag Officer East Coast of England until July, 1918, being promoted to Vice-Admiral in September, 1917.
