Admiral SIR Alan Kenneth Scott-Moncrieff, D.S.O.*, K.C.B., C.B.E. (3 September, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of a surgeon.
Scott-Moncrieff served in Orion from 9 January 1917 to 8 February 1919 when he was appointed to the light cruiser Carlisle.[1]
Scott-Moncrieff was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1921.[2]
Scott-Moncrieff was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 February, 1929.[3]
Scott-Moncrieff was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1934.[4]
World War II
Scott-Moncrieff was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1940.[5]
Scott-Moncrieff was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 7 January, 1950.[6]
Scott-Moncrieff was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 15 September, 1953.[7]
Scott-Moncrieff was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 30 June, 1956.[8]
