Lieutenant-Commander Athelstan Alfred Lennox Fenner, R.N. (7 April, 1886 – 31 January, 1918) served in the Royal Navy. His Service Record initially had his name as Alfred Athelstan Lennox Fenner.
Life & Career
Born in Cromer, the son of consulting engineer Robert Fenner.
Fenner was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 January, 1907.
Fenner was appointed in command of the submarine A 3 on 1 November, 1909.[1]
Fenner was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 January, 1915.
He died in the Battle of May Island aboard K 4 when she was lost on 31 January, 1918.[2]
