Captain Mervyn Robert George Wingfield, D.S.O., D.S.C.* (16 January, 1911 – 15 March, 2005) served in the Royal Navy.

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Wingfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 March, 1934.[1]

Wingfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 March, 1942.[2]

Wingfield was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1945.[3]

Wingfield was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1953.[4]

Retired 7 July, 1962.[5]
