Admiral SIR Archibald Lucius Douglas, G.C.B., Royal Navy (8 February, 1842 – 12 March, 1913) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Douglas was appointed a Naval Aide-de-Camp to Queen Victoria dated 1 January, 1893, vice Church.[1]
Douglas was appointed Commander-in-Chief on the East Indies Station on 15 January, 1898.[2]
Douglas was knighted and appointed a Knight Commander in the Military Division of the Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 26 June, 1902.[3]
He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 3 March, 1905, vice FitzGerald.[4]
In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 22 February, 1870, he was placed on the Retired List on 8 February, 1907.[5]
