Henry Chalfant Gearing ( – ) served in the United States Navy.

His son, Henry Chalfant Gearing, Jr. would also join the Navy during the Great War period, and later, a grandson Henry Chalfant Gearing III . A destroyer would be named for the three of them in the World War II period.
