Commander (retired) Arthur Robert Francis Bailey, R.N. (14 September, 1853 – 13 August, 1908) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Bailey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 27 October, 1877.[1]
On 13 April 1889, he was tried by Court Martial on a charge of drinking intoxicating liquors to excess. The charge was not proved.[2]
After a little over a year in command of the composite screw sloop Cormorant, he was appointed to Rupert, additional, for command of torpedo boats in commission, and to Cormorant for command of torpedo boats in reserve in January, 1896.[3]
Bailey was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 14 September, 1898.[4]
