H.M.S. Teal was one of two Teal Class river gunboats completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

In 1925, she was serving on the China Station. Wilfred A. Higgins would succumb to heat stroke while in command, on 2 August, 1926.

Captains

Dates of appointment are provided when known.

Lt. Cdr. Edward Ormsby Troubridge Keeling may have been in command for a few days at the very end, c. August, 1931.[39]
