Commander (retired) Guy Darracott Millar (7 September, 1888 – 24 August, 1940 served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Millar was born in London, the son of C. C. H. Millar, Esq..[1]
Millar was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1909.[2]
At the outbreak of war, he was in Highflyer. Following some time at H.M.S. Excellent, on 7 April, 1916 he was appointed to Hindustan as gunnery officer. Millar was next appointed to Conqueror as gunnery officer on 21 January, 1917.[3]
Millar was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1917 and continued to serve in Conqueror through the end of the war.[4]
Millar was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 11 January, 1931.[5]
