Commander R.N.R. (retired) Charles Frederick Brown, R.D. (17 February, 1878 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Brown was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 28 February, 1911.

Brown was appointed Acting Lieutenant-Commander, R.N.R. in Command of the destroyer Vixen on 10 December, 1917.[1] In 1918, Vixen collided with a light vessel and Brown was cautioned to be more careful. She also recevied an unsatisfactory report following a mid-year inspection by Captain Hubert Seeds Monroe.

Brown was demobilised on 5 January, 1919 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 28 February, 1919.

Brown was placed on the Retired List on account of non-sea service at the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 6 January, 1922.
